“Letter to Me,SDRq directed by Demetrius Navarro, Stifel Fine Arts Center, 1330 National Road, Wheeling, W.Va., auditions from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 25; noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 26; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 27; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 28. Performances slated for September at the Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, W.Va. “Letter to Me” tells the fictional story of a young singer-songwriter who has to choose between his dreams of stardom in Nashville and the girl of his dreams in his hometown. Those auditioning are asked to come with a headshot, acting resume and a song. No accompaniment will be provided. Scenes from the musical will be available before the audition. “The Jungle Book,SDRq a youth theater production directed by Patricia M. Fagan, at the Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane. Auditions from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28. Performances April 21-23. The nonmusical show, adapted from the Rudyard Kipling stories by Kathryn Schultz Miller, requires a wide age range of actors and actresses, age 8 to adult. The director’s intended rehearsal schedule is Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Rehearsals will begin shortly after the cast is announced.
