Niles: Kindergarten registration for all Niles City School District students and eligible open-enrollment students will be, by appointment only, at the Niles Board of Education offices, 309 N. Rhodes Ave. on these dates – Feb. 28, March 2, 3, 6, 7, or 9. Open-enrollment applications will be accepted from March 1 through April 13. Call the administration building at 330-989-5095 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment. Screening appointments will be confirmed upon completion of registration.

North Jackson: The Jackson-Milton School District will have kindergarten registration and screening for the 2017-18 school year from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 1-3 at the elementary school, 14110 Mahoning Ave. The child must be 5 years of age before Sept. 30 to attend. Parents are asked to bring their child’s official birth certificate, Social Security card, shot records, custody papers (if applicable) and proof of residency (two utility bills, two charge statements or driver’s license, plus house closing papers, mortgage document or rental agreement). Howland: The school district will be accepting applications for open enrollment students for the 2017-18 school year during the month of March. Applications may be picked up in person from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning March 1 at the front desk of the administration office, 8200 South St. SE. Placement availability at all grade levels will vary based on Howland resident student enrollment within each grade. For information, visit www.howlandschools.com.

Lisbon: Parents or guardians of children who will be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 can register their children for kindergarten in the Lisbon School District. Registration can be done online using the school website. Those who do not have access to a computer will be able to register at the board office, 317 N. Market St. Nonresidents who wish to apply for open enrollment must be age 5 by the date set by the district of residence. Screenings for kindergarten will take place May 2-3. Registration completion will be made the week of March 27-31. Appointments may be made by calling the board office at 330-424-7714. Registration for preschool will also be available online. There are a limited number of spots available. Parents or guardians must bring photo identification, the child’s original birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency and custody papers, if applicable.
