Wild 6, Red Wings 3

ST. PAUL, MINN.

Zach Parise scored twice and Devan Dubnyk made 30 saves to help Western Conference-leading Minnesota beat Detroit. Charlie Coyle added a goal and an assist, and the Wild scored three power-play goals in four chances. Minnesota leads Chicago by five points and has played two fewer games than the Blackhawks. Anthony Mantha had a goal and an assist for Detroit, Henrik Zetterberg and Andreas Athanasiou also scored, and Jared Coreau made 23 saves. The Red Wings have lost four straight and have the worst record in the Eastern Conference.

Bruins 4, Canadiens 0

BOSTON

Tuukka Rask had his first career regular-season home win over Montreal by making 25 saves for his sixth shutout, 39-year-old Zdeno Chara had a short-handed goal and Boston improved to 3-0 under interim coach Bruce Cassidy. Adam McQuaid, David Krejci and Frank Vatrano also scored to help Boston win for the sixth time in eight games. Carey Price had 32 saves for the Canadiens. They lost for the sixth time in seven games.

Islanders 5, Avalanche 1

NEW YORK

Anders Lee scored two of New York’s three third-period goals to lead the Islanders past NHL-worst Colorado. Nick Leddy had a goal and two assists, Ryan Strome and Jason Chimera also scored, and Jean-Francois Berube stopped 25 shots. Joe Colborne scored for Colorado, and Calvin Pickard made 28 saves.

Canucks 4, Sabres 2

BUFFALO, N.Y.

Alexandre Burrows scored for Vancouver and got under Buffalo’s skin with his pesky play.

Burrows scored the go-ahead goal five minutes into the second period and also had an assist. Michael Chaput scored twice for the Canucks, and Jacob Markstrom stopped 26 shots. Tyler Ennis and Kyle Okposo scored for Buffalo, and Lehner had 27 saves.

Predators 5, Stars 3

NASHVILLE

Filip Forsberg scored a short-handed goal 6:02 into the third period and the Nashville Predators overcame a three-goal deficit to beat Dallas. Roman Josi scored twice, Calle Jarnkrok had the tying goal 4:40 into the third, and Mike Fisher added an empty-netter with 1:38 left. James Neal and P.K. Subban each had two assists. Jamie Benn had a goal and an assist for Dallas. Patrick Sharp and Devin Shore also scored, and Tyler Seguin had three assists.

Sharks 4, Devils 1

NEWARK, N.J.

Brent Burns scored two goals and San Jose beat New Jersey to snap a four-game losing streak. Joe Thornton had a goal and an assist for the Sharks.
