SWIMMING

Twelve Poland swimmers will compete in Friday’s district tournament at Cleveland State University. Two boys relay teams qualified in last Friday’s sectional tournament. The 200 medley relay team has Mark Lanterman, Nico Lattanzio, Jason Wilson, Dominic Lattanzio. The 400 free relay has the Lattanzios, Lanterman and Marik Rogenski. Dominic Lattanzio broke school records in qualifying for the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle races. Nico Lattanzio qualified in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke while Lanterman qualified in the 100 backstroke. The Poland girls team has three relay teams going to CSU. The 200 medley relay team has Erin Kilgore, Carly Ungaro, Charisma Ojeda and Gianna Stanich. The 200 freestyle relay team has Ungaro, Logan Kountz, Jennifer Eich and Avery Blasko. The 400 freestyle relay team has Stanich, Blasko, Kountz and Ojeda. Blasko also qualified in the 50 freestyle as did Kilgore in the 100 backstroke and Ojeda in the 200 IM. Valley Christian’s Tess Emerson qualified in the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.
