Police stop 2 vehicles, make 2 arrests in same chase
YOUNGSTOWN — Police late Friday evening arrested two people in two separate vehicles in the same chase.
Reports said police saw a Cadillac and an SUV about 11:55 p.m. at a stop sign and the SUV failed to stop. When police tried to pull the SUV over it drove away, reports said.
As police chased the SUV reports said the Cadillac was getting in the way of the cruiser and at one point appeared to try to hit the cruiser, reports said.
Eventually the SUV pulled over at East Auburndale Avenue and Rush Boulevard. Reports said the driver, Vincent E. Hudson, 30, of Early Road, told police he did not pull over at first because he is from Detroit and he was once pulled over by "fake police officers."
As police were questioning Hudson, the Cadillac came back and the officers called for another cruiser and stopped it. The driver of that car, Rochelle Hudson, 21, was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business and booked into the Mahoning County jail.
Vincent Hudson was booked into the jail on charges of fleeing and eluding and driving under suspension.
