Cardboard sled run will take place

The second annual cardboard sled run will take place Saturday as part of Salem Public Library’s “Go Wild in the Park” program. Participants must take a corrugated cardboard sled they have designed and built to withstand the descent down the hill at Kelley Park on Prospect Street. The sled must be powered by a person and cannot have any other driving force or engine attached.

Awards will be given for the longest distance from the starting point and for the most creative design.

Registration will be open until noon the day of the event. Forms and rules are available at the library, 821 E State St., at Salem Memorial Building, 785 E State St., or online at www.salem.lib.oh.us. The event will be rescheduled Feb. 25 in case of bad weather.
