BOARDMAN

Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St., will host a two-day LuLaRoe shopping event in front of J.C. Penney from noon to 6 p.m. today and Sunday.

LuLaRoe offers shoppers a modern line of women’s maxi skirts, pencil skirts, A-line skirts and dresses in a variety of prints and patterns. Attendees will have the opportunity to peruse more than 18 different LuLaRoe vendors.

Chamber expo

WEST MIDDLESEX, PA.

The Shenango Valley Chamber will have its inaugural Business & Recreation Expo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Park Inn Radisson.

The expo has opened up from a traditional business focus to a mixture of both traditional and recreational businesses.

Business vendors are coming from as far away as Pittsburgh and Niles for the event.

Giveaways include “Shop, Dine, Play & Stay Package” at Eastwood Mall; a set of Penguins Tickets; a Chrome Notebook; and an Escape Package for two at Park Inn by Radisson.

Admission is $2 or $1 with a donation of a nonperishable food item to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County.

Trump meeting

WASHINGTON

Ahead of President Donald Trump’s meeting Friday with Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat from Cleveland, and Rob Portman, a Republican from the Cincinnati area, told the president any bilateral trade talks with Japan must focus on securing a commitment from Japan to address trade barriers that leave Ohio’s auto manufacturers at a competitive disadvantage.

Brown and Portman spoke out on behalf of Ohio’s automakers during negotiation of the Trans-Pacific Partnership in 2015 to urge then-U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman to level the playing field for U.S. automobile manufacturers and workers.

Ohio college student was shot to death

GROVE CITY, Ohio

Police say an Ohio college student whose body was found near a park had been shot, and they are investigating the death as a homicide.

Grove City police said Friday that the body of 21-year-old Reagan Tokes was found near the entrance of Scioto Grove Metro Park on Thursday afternoon.

Police in the Columbus suburb say the Ohio State University student was last seen Wednesday night leaving a Columbus cafe where she worked. Columbus police confirmed that they had taken a missing person report Thursday evening on Tokes. Authorities say Tokes’ car later was found in Columbus.
