Senior Fun Days at Boardman Park

BOARDMAN

Boardman Park, in partnership with Ohio Living Senior Center, will have Senior Fun Days on the third and fourth Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Lariccia Family Community Center, in the park.

Fee is $2 and includes a guest speaker, exercise, craft, blood-pressure screening, bingo and lunch. Because of the high demand of this program, guests are asked to choose only one day each month (Feb. 16 or 23), and make a reservation by calling Karen at 330-965-0482 or the park office at 330-726-8105.

Food sponsors are the Greenbriar and The Commons at Greenbriar. Armstrong Cable will present a Hallmark Valentine’s Day movie at 8:30 a.m. at this month’s Fun Days for those who would like to come early.

Benefit dance party for animal group

YOUNGSTOWN

“Bow Wow Boogie,” a dance party to Every Dog Matters, a volunteer dog rescue group, will take place Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave.

The event will feature music by the John Reese Project and DJ Stephen Barba, plus Valentine’s Day sweets.

Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased by emailing EveryDogMatters@yahoo.com, and at ShamPoochies Grooming Spa, 1728 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. Tickets will be $12 at the door.
