Montessori students prepare for MathCounts
SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR: Four students and one alternate have been selected to represent the Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley on Thursday at the MathCounts competition at Youngstown State University. Students representing the school, from left, are Jessica Pritchard, seventh grade; Aidan Tomhave, sixth grade; Nina Dill, seventh grade; Lily Weiss, alternate, seventh grade; and Nathan Phillips, seventh grade. These students obtained the highest scores on a math test given to interested students at the school. A group of MSMV students meets every Wednesday for activities and exercises to improve their math skills under the supervision of volunteer parents Lora Phillips and Kelly Mills.
