Winter Fest will return

HERMITAGE, PA.

Winter Fest will take place Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Buhl Farm Park, 715 Hazen Road.

The event will feature dogsled demonstrations, horse-drawn wagon rides, the Great Snowman Challenge and an opportunity to paint raku pottery.

The Youngstown Phantoms will sign autographs from 1 to 3 p.m.

The popular Live Bird Expo by Tamarack Wildlife Center will start at 2 p.m., and a maple-tree tap demonstration will take place at 1 p.m.

There also will be a preview of the new Nature Explore Outdoor Learning Center, which will open this summer at the park.

Storyteller Miss Victoria will share “Snowzilla” by Janet Lawler and spin a few of her own tales.

New this year will be a free shuttle from noon to 4 p.m. to take visitors and their sleds to the sled ride hill and back to the casino parking lot. Guest can roast marshmallows on an open fire or purchase hot dogs, popcorn, hot chocolate, mini donuts and coffee.
