Black Lives Matter forum

“On the Matter of Lives,” a community discussion about the Black Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter campaigns, will take place Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Kent State University at Trumbull, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW.

The event will begin with a panel discussion with Akron Police Capt. Daniel Zampelli; retired University of Akron professor Stanley Smith; and Molly Merryman, a film documentarist and director of the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality at Kent State University.

Lance Grahn, dean and chief administrative officer of the Trumbull campus, will serve as moderator.
