POLICE CALLS
A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:
POLAND
Jan. 25
Identity fraud: A Clovermeade Avenue woman reported having found $4,199 worth of unauthorized charges via a PayPal account.
Jan. 27
Identity fraud: An Elmland Drive man discovered two unauthorized online purchases to his account that totaled $1,120.
Jan. 29
Arrest: A traffic stop near state Route 616 and Lakeshore Drive resulted in the driver being charged with operating a vehicle impaired, though the report contained no specific arrest information.
BOARDMAN
Jan. 26
Theft: Leonard C. Bruno Jr., 30, of Tippecanoe Road, Canfield, was charged with taking $179 worth of merchandise, including a pair of tennis shoes, from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Felicia I. Wallace, who listed Youngstown addresses on Youngstown-Poland Road and Overland Avenue, was charged in the theft of four articles of clothing valued at $219 from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall. Wallace, 43, also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia when, authorities alleged, she had a suspected crack-cocaine pipe in her purse.
Arrest: Officers who reported having seen a possibly inebriated man walking near a Market Street gas station charged Tyler D. Printup, 22, with disorderly conduct while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon after alleging an intoxicated Printup had a small knife in his wallet and became hostile toward an officer, then refused to desist. Printup, of Clifton Drive, Boardman, also was handed a minor-misdemeanor citation charging him with having a bag containing 6.7 grams of suspected marijuana.
Theft: Police were dispatched to Boardman Area Court on Market Street before booking Christopher J. Allen, 21, of Hermitage, Pa., on three misdemeanor theft counts related to two shoplifting situations April 22, 2015, at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive. The $360 in stolen merchandise was then sold to another Boardman store, a report stated.
Theft: Officers at the Trumbull County jail took custody of Matthew D. Wrightsman, 28, of state Route 87, Farmdale, who faced a theft count after a Pinehill Drive man had discovered a $581 unauthorized charge to his bank account last October.

Theft: A Rush Boulevard man noticed $1 missing from his car.
Harassment: A Shields Road woman said a man had created a phony Facebook page under her name.
Theft: A Youngstown man told officers that after having accidentally dropped $4 while in a Doral Drive, another man picked up the money and stole $1 of that amount.
Theft: Four people reportedly left Texas Roadhouse, 1221 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying their $102.37 food bill.
Menacing: A manager with a Market Street pet center alleged a worker whom she had terminated has engaged in a pattern of harassment, including angrily confronting the accuser and following her vehicle.
Misuse of a credit card: A man and a woman reportedly left in a blue pickup truck after having tried unsuccessfully to use a Salem woman’s Ohio Direction card at Rulli Bros., 8025 South Ave.
Theft: A man reportedly stole $50 worth of hygiene products from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Bad checks: A man reportedly wrote multiple checks to buy clothing and apparel at Planet Fitness, 465 Boardman-Canfield Road, then later came back with a woman to return one of the items before the checks were returned.
Theft: Kit Glass Jr., 38, who listed addresses on Market Street in Youngstown and Madison Street in Campbell, was charged with stealing $145 worth of shoes from Walmart. He also was wanted on a Girard warrant charging theft, as well as two bench warrants.
Arrests: A traffic stop near West Midlothian Boulevard resulted in the arrests of Shanequa M. White, 29, of Smithfield Street, Youngstown, on a charge of obstructing official business, along with Alexandra C. Jones, 28, same address, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia when, police alleged, a device commonly used to grind marijuana was found. White, who was wanted on a Franklin County warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court on a robbery charge, provided a false name to avoid being arrested on the warrant, a report showed.
Theft: A man in his mid- to late 30s reportedly stole five pairs of shoes valued at $380 from Designer Shoe Warehouse, 1280 Doral Drive.
Weapon: A traffic stop on Market Street resulted in a fourth-degree felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon against Marcus Scott of Lemans Drive, Boardman. Scott, 23, had a loaded .38-caliber revolver under the driver’s seat, authorities alleged.

Aggravated menacing: A North Lima man told authorities someone in a black Dodge Challenger had gotten out of the car and pointed a handgun at him in a Doral Drive big-box store’s parking lot.
Attempted auto theft: Police answered a call about someone possibly trying to steal a car in the 400 block of Meadowbrook Avenue, where they charged Terrence R. Moody, 33, of South Avenue, Boardman, with one fifth-degree felony count each of attempted grand theft of a motor vehicle and obstructing official business. A neighbor had called 911 to report seeing someone backing out of her driveway in her boyfriend’s 2003 Chevrolet Venture; also, authorities had to use a stun gun after Moody had lightly pushed an officer during the booking process and refused to comply, they alleged.
Identity fraud: A Pheasant Court woman discovered $934 worth of fraudulent charges to her checking account that originated in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Theft: A Beloit man noticed a $900 tailgate missing from his truck while he was in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A woman reportedly stole a $55 hooded sweatshirt from Bruce Gallery, a clothing store at 4040 Market St.
Criminal mischief: Someone in the 1800 block of Boardman-Poland Road placed shampoo, glitter and dead crickets on a vehicle’s trunk.
Harassment: A Market Street man told officers someone had posted information about him on Facebook that he did not want divulged.
Stolen property: Authorities took custody of Keiasia D. Williams, 21, of Willow Drive, Boardman, who faced a misdemeanor receiving-stolen-property charge related to an Oct. 15, 2016, situation in which a woman reported her $400 iPhone stolen after having accidentally left it in a shopping cart at a Boardman-Poland Road big-box store.
Theft: A man was reportedly caught on surveillance footage stealing 14 pairs of yoga pants valued at $695 from Victoria’s Secret Pink store in Southern Park Mall.
Weapon/drugs: Authorities were sent to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital to pick up Jonathan L. Gronvall, 29, of Stratford Road, Boardman, on a third-degree felony charge of being a convicted felon with a firearm, along with a misdemeanor drug-possession charge. Earlier, police had responded to someone possibly in distress at his residence, where they reported finding Gronvall on the floor with a loaded .40-caliber firearm; also found were two bindles of suspected heroin, a report showed.

Arrests: After responding to a report of a juvenile in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue who had reportedly run away from home, officers charged a Boardman boy, 15, and a Columbus boy, 16, with obstructing official business and criminal trespassing after saying the teens had led police on a foot chase before they were found hiding in a building on nearby Lemans Drive.
Assault: Officers responded to a fight in the 7300 block of Sierra Madre Trail, where one juvenile reported having been punched.
Criminal damaging: Someone tossed blue paint on a garage and part of the driveway in the 1300 block of Doncaster Drive. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
Theft: A man reportedly took $75 worth of property from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Harassment: An Aravesta Avenue woman said another woman had posted a message on Facebook indicating she planned to shoot the accuser.
Domestic violence: Christopher D. Hayslett, 33, of Allenwood Avenue, Warren, was charged with the crime after his former wife, of Boardman, alleged that during an argument pertaining to her vehicle, Hayslett had kicked open a door into her garage, causing it to strike her left wrist and leave a small cut.
