What: Explore how natural processes have shaped the Mahoning Valley and the Earth over time to create the places we call home.

Where: Ford Nature Center, 840 Old Furnace Road, Youngstown.

Cost: $3 for Mahoning County youth, $5 non-residents.

When: Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

What: Join us for a music jam. Make new friends, have fun, and learn a new tune or two. Bring an instrument or just come to listen.

Where: Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center Visitors Center, 16146 Daniel St. NE, Minerva.

Cost: Free

Super Stroll Sunday

When: Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

What: Enjoy the winter wonderland as we stroll along East Cohasset to the Suspension Bridge and back.

Where: Ford Nature Center, 840 Old Furnace Road, Youngstown.

Cost: Free.

Details: Bring your travel mug so you can enjoy a hot beverage on the hike. Coffee and tea provided. Moderate to difficult level; 4 miles.

Tales For Tots: Eastern Cottontails

When: Feb. 10, 10 to 11 a.m.

What: Rabbits don’t just come out for Easter. Join us as we meet a real rabbit and learn about our Eastern Cottontails. We’ll also look for rabbit tracks.

Where: Bears Den Cabin, off Old Furnace Road, Youngstown.

Cost: $4 for Mahoning County residents, $6 NR.

Details: For kids age 2 to 3 plus adult. A story and craft are included. Register/pay at Ford Nature Center by Wednesday. Additional fee after deadline.
