Mardi Gras benefit will take place Feb. 11

Hospice of the Valley will host its 16th annual Mardi Gras Party on Feb. 11 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave. The benefit is being presented by Home Savings & Loan for the local health care organization, which provides comfort and care for those at the end of their lives and with their families.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. The event will feature food, drinks and dancing with music provided by Total Package and DJ Dean Congemi.
There will be a 50-50 raffle, psychic readings, a spin-to-win presented by Komara Jewelers, a roll-and-win by Greenwood Chevrolet, and chance and silent auctions featuring vacation packages, autographed memorabilia and gifts from local merchants.
Honorary chairmen for the event are John and Denise York, the DeBartolo Corp., and Gary and Jane Small of Home Savings. Donations for the evening are $100 per person, and sponsorship tables are available.
Donations are being accepted from businesses that wish to showcase their goods or services during the auction.
