HUBBARD

Dec. 22

Possible child endangerment: A Warren woman expressed concern that her 3-year-old daughter was possibly being abused at the Hubbard home of another family member.

Scam: An East Liberty Street man told police that a caller offered him a loan of up to $3,000 but said he was to first pay $250 in gift cards and provide the numbers off the cards. Later, the accuser was informed he needed to pay an additional $495, supposedly as a processing fee, before learning it was a scam.

Dec. 23

Recovered property: An Ohio license plate was found at a business in the 100 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road.

Dec. 26

Recovered property: A woman found a $100 bill in a parking lot in the 600 block of West Liberty Street.

LIBERTY

Dec. 22

Arrest: A traffic stop near Roosevelt Drive resulted in the arrest of Kristi L. Coxson, 35, of Chestnut Avenue Northeast, Warren. She was wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Burglary: Took place at an apartment in the 20 block of Colonial Drive, from which three $500 flat-screen TVs were taken.

Recovered property: A pellet gun was found in a carport in the 4000 block of Monticello Boulevard.

Dec. 23

Arrest: While answering a shoplifting call at Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, officers took Frank O. DiMenna, 28, into custody upon learning the Uniontown, Ohio, man was wanted on a Canfield warrant charging theft. He had not been charged in the shoplifting situation at the time of the report, however.

Theft: A manager with a Belmont Avenue fast-food restaurant noticed her $200 smartphone missing from a counter.

Dec. 25

Criminal damaging: Two vehicles in the 2400 block of Barth Drive sustained damage that included scratches to the finish.

Assault: A maintenance man with an apartment building in the 4100 block of Logan Gate Road alleged a 37-year-old Boardman man had shoved him to the ground during an argument related to repairing a damaged door.

Dec. 26

Arrest: Mill Creek MetroParks police handed Jami L. Cefalde to township authorities. Cefalde, 33, of Thurber Lane, Youngstown, was wanted on an outstanding Girard Municipal Court warrant.

Auto theft: A 2006 Kia Optima was stolen in the 2900 block of Northview Boulevard.

Theft: A Youngstown woman discovered her wallet missing while she patronized a discount store in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue.

Dec. 27

Fraud: A Youngstown man told police his stolen bank card was used several times without authorization in a recent two-day period at various automated teller machines and Walmart stores.

Identity theft: A Youngstown woman reported her bank card stolen, and that it was used several times at a Goldie Road big-box store without consent. She also discovered a fraudulent $1,500 check had been deposited into her account.

GIRARD

Dec. 22

Assault: An East Broadway Avenue woman alleged a man choked her, leaving marks on her face and neck.

Drugs/weapons: After pulling him over on an Interstate 80 on ramp, authorities charged Michael A. Murphy, 22, of Marshall Avenue, New Castle, Pa., with being a convicted felon with a firearm and improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle after saying they found in the car a Glock 17 weapon with one cartridge in the chamber, along with a magazine with 22 rounds of ammunition. In addition, Murphy and David A. Williams, 28, of West Madison Avenue, New Castle, were cited when, police further alleged, a bag containing about 2.8 grams of suspected marijuana was found.

Harassment: A Girard man reported a woman with whom he has ongoing problems has repeatedly called and threatened to harm him.

Dec. 24

Assaults: Two women at an East Wilson Avenue residence reported two people assaulted them, including having struck the victims in the face. One of the woman also reported having been kicked in the back, which caused her to fall down a flight of steps.

Dec. 26

Burglary: At an apartment in the 100 block of Church Hill Road, from which an Xbox game system and a Wii game were removed.

Dec. 27

Arrest: A traffic stop on East Howard Street led to Samantha M. Sallaz’s arrest. Sallaz, 29, of state Route 305, Southington, was wanted on a warrant charging domestic violence.
