PH.D

PH.D. earned

Anna (DeJulio) Martin of Hubbard has received her Ph.D. in educational psychology from Kent State University’s main campus in Kent.

Martin is a 2003 graduate of Hubbard High School. She earned her bachelor’s and her master’s degrees, from KSU, where she graduated summa cum laude. Martin is employed as a social studies teacher at Canfield High School, where she teaches advanced placement psychology, college-credit plus psychology and world civilizations.

She lives in Hubbard with her husband, John, and their two children. She is the daughter of Ronald and Diane DeJulio, also of Hubbard.

Trooper Daniel L. DeLuca of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has been selected as the 2017 Trooper of the Year at the Canfield Post, and Tamara Scheetz has been selected for the patrol’s 2017 Telecommunications Award at the Canfield Dispatch Center.

DeLuca is now in contention for the district and state Trooper of the Year awards to be announced at a later date.

DeLuca joined the patrol in 2010 and has served at the Mansfield and Canfield posts. Originally from Youngstown, he is a Boardman High School graduate. He lives in Trumbull County with his wife, Amie, and his three children.

Scheetz joined the patrol in 1998 and has served at the Canfield and Lisbon dispatch centers. A native of Canfield, Scheetz graduated from Canfield High School and attended Youngstown State University. She and her husband, Robert, live in Canfield.

Scheetz has been honored with the Post Dispatcher of the Year awards in 2004, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. She has also been honored as the Warren District Dispatcher of the year in 2011, 2014, 2016 and this year.
