Sara Wenger, Jack Daugherty are engaged

Sara E. Wenger and Jack Daugherty, both of Youngstown, are engaged and will marry at 5 p.m. March 24 at the Serbian Hall in Youngstown, with a reception to follow. Invitations will be issued for both events.

The bride-elect’s parents are Alan and Marilyn Wenger of Poland.

The groom is a son of Jack and Janis Daugherty of Youngstown.

Miss Wenger graduated from Rutgers University with a master’s degree in city and regional planning. She earned undergraduate degrees from Miami University. She is the economic development program manager for Eastgate Regional Council of Governments in Youngstown.

Mr. Daugherty graduated with a master’s degree in urban planning from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York and received his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University. He is the neighborhood stabilization director for Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.
