Dec. 11

Criminal damaging: A man reported a woman kicked and damaged a window to his Moyer Avenue apartment after he had refused to allow her to enter the building.

Theft: A man told authorities he saw two people steal a package that had been delivered to his Pinetree Lane home and that contained a $127 bottle of perfume.

Theft: A man and a woman reportedly fled after failing to pay $80 in rent for their stay at a Market Street motel.

Theft: A 15-year-old Youngstown girl was accused of stealing a $10 device from Kohl’s.

Criminal damaging: Someone broke a double-pane living-room window to a home in the 700 block of Canterbury Lane, which resulted in a $500 damage estimate.

Theft: Police phone booked Jesse L. Shiflett, 22, on a theft charge after alleging Shiflett, of East Myrtle Avenue, Youngstown, had stolen a $19 package of diapers April 28 from Dollar General, 5953 South Ave.

Dec. 14

Theft: Police arrested Bertan E. Altinordu, 29, of Akron, on a theft charge. Police accused him of taking a women’s wristwatch, two men’s shirts and a pillow from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Robert L. Swope, 34, of Sierra Drive, Youngstown, faced charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business after clothing was stolen from Kohl’s and when, police alleged, he tried to flee from them. In addition, Swope, who was wanted on a warrant charging receiving stolen property, had a suspected crack-cocaine pipe, a report showed.

Criminal mischief: Someone went through a vehicle in the 20 block of Homestead Drive, though nothing appeared to have been removed.

Theft: Youngstown police handed Jamar D.M. Sklenchar, 19, to township authorities. Sklenchar, of Ohio Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with theft after an undisclosed sum of money was discovered missing Sept. 29 from a safe at Wendy’s, 433 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A Springfield, Ill., man noticed his wallet, about $800 and several credit cards missing while he stayed at a South Avenue motel.

Theft: Police charged Cheryl L. Triggs, 57, after alleging Triggs, of Lyden Avenue, Youngstown, had stolen a $12 umbrella and other items from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Criminal damaging: Someone in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road did $250 in damage to a vehicle’s door and window in an effort to enter the car.

Theft: A Clifton Drive man discovered a $649 camera kit missing from his vehicle.

Theft: A man reportedly fled from Walmart in a red Pontiac Grand Am after having tried to steal $310 worth of property from the big-box store.

Recovered property: A 2017 Ford Escape was found after having been reported stolen from a sales lot at Donnell Ford, 7955 Market St.

Theft: A man wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jacket reportedly took $20 in merchandise from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd., then left in a silver car.

Theft: A man reported $500 missing from his Market Street residence.

Dec. 15

Burglary: A man noticed someone had kicked out a basement window after he saw a set of suspicious footprints in the snow around his Jennette Drive residence.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 100 block of Overhill Road was found with a shattered passenger-side window.

Drugs: A traffic stop in the 4100 block of Market Street led to a drug-abuse charge against Gordon D. Davis, 28, of East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, when, police alleged, Davis admitted having three hypodermic needles, two suspected crack pipes and a spoon with burn marks typical in drug use.

Theft: A $150 catalytic converter was missing from a vehicle left at an auto-repair business in the 100 block of Indianola Road.

Burglary: To a home in the 100 block of Jennette Drive through a rear door, from which a 37-inch flat-screen TV, jewelry and two speakers were removed.

Burglary: Someone forcibly entered an apartment in the 4200 block of Chester Drive via a rear window. Stolen was a package that contained a $120 item.

Menacing: A Lockwood Boulevard man told police three suspicious packages had been left at his home. One of them contained three shotgun shells, a report said.

Theft: A Hitchcock Road woman discovered packages containing a laptop computer and a sewing machine were missing from her porch.

Burglary: A man wearing a skull cap reportedly was seen trying to pry open a patio door and break into a home in the 4200 block of Stratford Road.

Drug paraphernalia: While answering a possible burglary call on Jennette Drive, officers charged Ijnanya S. Rollins, 35, of Ferncliff Avenue, Boardman, with possessing drug paraphernalia after alleging Rollins had in a backpack a suspected crack-cocaine pipe and an empty film canister with suspected marijuana residue.

Menacing: A teacher with a township elementary school told police a third-grade student handed her a note that contained threatening content that the student’s mother had purportedly written against her.

Domestic violence: Eric T. Gbur, 18, of Waggaman Circle, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his foster mother alleged that during an argument related to text messages, Gbur had grabbed her arm and attempted to place the victim in a head lock.

Theft: Shirlayann D. Martinez of Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, and Antasia G. McMeans of Notre Dame Drive, Campbell, both 18, were charged with swapping price tags on various items and intentionally failing to scan others at Walmart, resulting in a $41 charge for about $502 worth of cookware and other merchandise.

Theft: Authorities were dispatched to downtown Youngstown to pick up Latrice V. Bevly of West Ravenwood Avenue, Youngstown. Bevly, 32, was accused of stealing $35 worth of air fresheners earlier this month from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Dec. 16

Arrest: After pulling her over near Wildwood Drive, authorities charged Peggy L. Porter of North Hartford Avenue, Youngstown, with operating a vehicle impaired. Porter, 65, refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test, a report stated.

Assault/terroristic threats: A worker for a Tiffany Boulevard motel reported a man who had misplaced a necklace during his stay spit in her face and claimed he had a bomb after being angered that the item was never found.

Arrest: Officers responded to a report of a man passed out in the elevator at a Tiffany Boulevard motel before arresting Sean P. Hilbert, 26, of Canfield Road, Canfield. He was wanted on an Austintown warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 50 block of Prestwick Drive through a side window. Stolen were an Xbox game console, several pairs of shoes, a backpack and two pairs of boots.
