JJC escapee indicted by grand jury


A Mahoning County grand jury Thursday indicted Jeremy Britton, 18, of Logan Avenue, who police said escaped earlier this year from the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center and led police on a chase before he was caught. Britton, who will be tried as an adult, was indicted on charges of escape, robbery, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, felonious assault and aggravated riot for his escape April 19 from the JJC. He was being held there as a suspect in an earlier robbery at a Poland Burger King, for which he was also indicted on charges of aggravated robbery, robbery and kidnapping. Police said Britton stole a car from someone and managed to elude police after a chase. He was found April 20 in a home on Salt Springs Road. The grand jury also indicted these people on these charges:

Lacey A. Livermore, 27, Carlisle Drive, Austintown, escape, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine.

Sarah E. Muschweck, 26, Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, receiving stolen property.

Savanha Cofield, 21, Third Street Southwest, Warren, tampering with evidence, possession of cocaine, obstructing official business and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jerrod J. Cooper, 28, Scott Street, Newton Falls, inducing panic, aggravated possession of drugs and possessing drug abuse instruments.

Judith Gale Douglas, 41, Oakwood Avenue, receiving stolen property.

Jonathan English, 37, Van Buren Drive, Ravenna, two counts of theft.

Maverick Evans, 25, Grandview Road, Lake Milton, three counts of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs.

Raymont John Ingram, New Court, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, tampering with evidence, trafficking in marijuana with a forfeiture specification, assault and obstructing official business.

Deon T. Johnson, 25, Sherwood Avenue, trafficking in marijuana, improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana with a forfeiture specification and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

Karrie A. Kascsak, 29, Sugar Pines Drive, Warren, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michael B. Woods, 33, East Florida Avenue, Sebring, trespass in habitation.

Robert W. Boyd, 47, West Boulevard, Boardman, rape, gross sexual imposition and three counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
