Hilltop Elementary School PTO rewarded students who sold 10 or more items for the school’s fall fundraiser with an ice cream social on Nov. 17.

The PTO set up a sundae bar in the cafeteria, which offered the children ice cream, sprinkles, Oreos, chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

“We had 166 kids sell 10 or more items for the fall fundraiser. Our kindergartners sold the most items,” said Angie Lolakis, fall fundraiser co-chair. Julie Cromwell also served as co-chair.

In keeping with the fall fundraiser’s Emoji theme, the ice cream social also carried the Emoji theme.

“We used the Emoji theme for the fundraiser, so we thought the kids would enjoy it for the ice cream social, too,” Lolakis said.

Several members of the school’s PTO volunteered for the event to help serve the children their sundaes.
