The O’Connells celebrate 60th anniversary

WARREN

Mr. and Mrs. O’Connell recently celebrated their 60th anniversary at a dinner at The Chop House Restaurant in Warren that was hosted by their children. Their children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, siblings and members of their wedding party were in attendance.

The couple’s children are Kathleen Sauline, Girard; Maureen Haska, Ravenna; Daniel O’Connell, Girard; Laureen Brinker, Girard; and Christeen Partika, Coitsville Township. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jack O’Connell and the former Janet Gantar were married Oct. 26, 1957, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard.

Mrs. O’Connell is a homemaker and was a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital until retiring in 1964. She is a member of the SOS Club, “The Girls” and the Girard Multigenerational Center.

Mr. O’Connell was a plumber and the business manager for Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 87, until retirement. He is a founding member and a member of the board of directors at the Girard Multigenerational Center.

The members are lifelong members of St. Rose Catholic Church.
