The Tigers trailed the Dragons by seven with 1:30 left to play. A four-point play by Frank Rappach cut into the lead and then Connor Tamarkin hit an eight-foot shot to take the lead in the final seconds. Tamarkin had 14 points and Rappach had five. Samari Dean scored 12 for Howland.

Western Reserve 67, Lowellville 62, OT

LOWELLVILLE

The Blue Devils (4-1) outscored the Rockets (5-1) 10-5 in overtime. Western Reserve’s Kade Hilles led all scorers with 23 points. Jack Cappabianca had 15 for the Blue Devils. Matt Hvisdak led Lowellville with 19 points. Nate Solak scored 15 for the Rockets.

Mentor Lake Catholic 70, Ursuline 47

MENTOR

Luke Frazier scored a game-high 26 points to lead Lake Catholic (4-0). Luka Eller added 18 points. Ursuline (0-4) was led by Devan Keevey (11 points) and Deshawn Harris (10).

Valley Christian overcame a 13-4 first-quarter deficit. Milan Square led Valley Christian with 15 points while teammate Lohron Brown had 12. Crestwood’s Mason Jakacki scored a game-high 21 points.

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP

Drake Batcho notched a double double (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Champion edged Liberty. Chase Wheelock led the Flashes with 13 points and Joe Abramovich and Jared Day each scored 11. Abramovich made two free throws late in the game to give Champion the lead for good. Dra Rushton (14 points) and Ezell Brown (12) paced Liberty.

POLAND

The Bulldogs held a 40-8 lead at halftime. Braeden O’Shaughnessy scored 11 for Poland while teammate Brandon Barringer had 10. Brandon Strang and Anthony Loomis each had six points to lead Jefferson.
