A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Dec. 15

Citation: Police on Shields Road pulled over and cited Juan Marin, 34, of South Jackson Street, Youngstown, on a charge of driving with no operator’s license.

Dec. 16

Arrest: Kyle Butryn of South Raccoon Road, Austintown, was arrested on South Canfield-Niles Road after officers discovered Butryn, 24, was wanted on a warrant charging him with failing to appear in Canfield Mayor’s Court.

Threats: A Lake Pointe Drive resident reported having received threats from a woman via Facebook.

Arrest: Tiffany Renforth, 38, of Scott Street, Canfield, was charged with driving under suspension after having been pulled over on East Main Street.

Dec. 17

Arrest: Authorities took Joshua Donatelli, 25, into custody on Callahan Road. Donatelli, of Applecrest Drive, Boardman, was charged with driving under suspension.

AUSTINTOWN

Dec. 13

Theft: Checks were reportedly taken from a home in the 100 block of South Roanoke Avenue, then cashed.

Fraud: A Woodridge Drive residence found $7,900 worth of fraudulent credit-card activity.

Dec. 14

Arrest: A traffic stop on Mahoning Avenue resulted in the arrest of Russell U. Sullivan, 41, of South Raccoon Road, Austintown. He was wanted on a felony warrant.

Drugs: Authorities picked up Jason E. Mechling, 38, who listed addresses on North Heights Avenue in Youngstown and South Canal Street in Newton Falls, as he walked near Mahoning Avenue and state Route 46. Mechling was wanted on a Trumbull County Common Pleas Court warrant related to two drug charges, as well as a warrant charging him with failure to appear in Warren Municipal Court.

Fraud: A Westchester Drive resident noticed fraudulent charges to a credit card.

Theft: A heavyset man reportedly stole two blankets, three DVDs and assorted food items from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Dec. 15

Arrest: After pulling him over near Ohltown Road, officers arrested Adam L. Andrews, 27, of Elm Road, Warren, after ascertaining that he was wanted on a Niles Municipal Court bench warrant related to a domestic-violence charge.

Theft: Someone in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue took money from inside a vehicle.

Dec. 16

Arrest: Police conducting a welfare check near Four Mile Run Road charged Jack M. White of Hendricks Road, Austintown, with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after alleging having seen White, 33, stumbling in and out of the road while trying to walk.

Criminal damaging: A car in the 500 block of Purdue Avenue was found with a broken window.

Theft: A wallet was removed from a vehicle at a restaurant in the 1700 block of South Raccoon Road.

Arrest: A traffic stop near Mahoning Avenue led to Ja’Nazsa D. Moore’s arrest. Moore, 22, of East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, was wanted on a bench warrant accusing her of failing to appear in Youngstown Municipal Court.

Drugs: Lewis D. Deloach, 31, of Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, was charged with drug abuse (cocaine) after police had stopped his vehicle near Frederick Street and when they alleged Deloach had a bag that contained 11 grams of suspected cocaine. Also, authorities cited Amber L. Rouse, 30, same address, on a wrongful-entrustment charge after saying Rouse knowingly allowed Deloach to drive her car with a suspended driver’s license.

Arrest: Authorities were dispatched to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, where they took Sean P. Hilbert, 26, into custody upon discovering Hilbert, of Canfield Road, Canfield, was wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear in Austintown Area Court.

Dec. 17

Drugs: While conducting a security check at a South Meridian Road business, officers took Aaron J. Rose, 34, into custody after learning that the Ravenna man was wanted on a Portage County warrant regarding two drug-related charges.

Theft: Beer was reported stolen from a business in the 5400 block of Seventy-Six Drive.

Fraud: A Westchester Drive resident reportedly found unauthorized credit-card activity.

Felonious assault: Police received information that a vehicle had struck someone walking in the 3300 block of Sandalwood Drive.
