Warren man injured by puppy robber


WARREN — A man living in the 400 block of Washington Street Northeast, 45, suffered a severe laceration to the back of his head after being hit with a handgun by a man who entered his home at 10:43 a.m. Friday.

After assaulting the victim, the suspect and another man took the victim's blue-nose pit bull puppy and fled.

The victim's girlfriend called 911, saying her boyfriend had been shot in the head, but police later discovered he had not been shot.

The victim went to the Trumbull Regional Medical Center for treatment.
