Historical society celebrates Christmas at Strock Stone House

The Austintown Historical Society met Dec. 6 for its annual Christmas party at the Strock Stone House. The Austintown Fitch concert choir, above, performed a medley of Christmas carols under the direction of William Klein. The society donated $100 toward the $75,000 goal for the choir’s trip to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York in April. The choir is the only group from Ohio chosen to perform for the event in April. Below, society treasurer Harold Wilson, right, presents Klein with one of the society’s historical woven throws along with the donation.
