Salem Public Library’s book discussion group for adults will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Quaker Room of Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St.

It is open to the public and free to attend. No registration is required.

“News of the World” by Paulette Jiles will be the book for discussion. It is the story of 10-year-old Johanna Leonberger, who was kidnapped by Kiowa Indians at age 6, and her journey back to her family.

The book may be borrowed from the Adult Circulation Department of the library.
