“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Mike Wilson, executive director of SCOPE Trumbull, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the new and improved satellite offices in Cortland, Champion, Niles and Howland, where senior citizens can get meals, exercise and fellowship.

Next, Amanda Frost and Brad Smith of the 2017 Leadership Class of Columbiana County will discuss their project for youth development.

Ashtabula author will sign his books

ASHTABULA

Books by local author Carl E. Feather will be sold and signed at Carlisle’s Home in the Harbor, 1005 Bridge St., from 1 to 3 p.m. today.

Feather’s titles include “Ashtabula Harbor: A History of the World’s Greatest Iron Receiving Port”; “Hidden History of Ashtabula County, Ohio”; “Covered Bridges of Ashtabula County, Ohio” and “Mountain People in a Flat Land.”

“Ashtabula Harbor” is his latest book and tells the story of the harbor’s heyday as a major iron ore receiving port that attracted immigrants, bums, bank robbers and other characters.
