Ashtabula author will sign his books

ASHTABULA

Books by local author Carl E. Feather will be sold and signed at Carlisle’s Home in the Harbor, 1005 Bridge St., from 1 to 3 p.m. today.

Feather’s titles include “Ashtabula Harbor: A History of the World’s Greatest Iron Receiving Port”; “Hidden History of Ashtabula County, Ohio”; “Covered Bridges of Ashtabula County, Ohio” and “Mountain People in a Flat Land.”

“Ashtabula Harbor” is his latest book and tells the story of the harbor’s heyday as a major iron ore receiving port that attracted immigrants, bums, bank robbers and other characters.
