Mr. and Mrs. Greene celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. James Greene celebrated their golden anniversary with a cruise to Barcelona, Spain; the French Riviera; Italy; and Malta.

Mr. Greene and the former Patricia Jackson were married Sept. 11, 1967, in Youngstown.

The couple’s children are Dennis (Nikki) Greene of Worthington and Kacey (Migna) Greene of Brooklyn, N.Y. The Greenes also have four grandchildren.

Mrs. Greene worked in various positions for Ohio Bell, AT&T and Mahoning Valley Hospitals until she retired in 2009. She is also a member of the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing Alumni Association and the Junior League of Youngstown.

Mr. Greene worked in various supervisory positions for the U.S. Postal Service in Youngstown until he retired in 2003. He is a member of the YMCA Board of Trustees and Omega. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969.

The couple are members of Pilgrim Baptist Church, where Mr. Greene serves as a deacon.
