Amanda Sacco and Marcell Vitello, both of Cortland, exchanged wedding vows Sept. 30 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. The 1:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Constantine Valantasis. A reception followed at the St. Demetrios Community Center.

The parents of the bride are Vince and Kathy Sacco of McDonald. Bob and Grace Vitello of Masury are the parents of the groom.

After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple reside in Cortland.

Mrs. Vitello earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from Youngstown State University. She is an analytical chemist for Molded Fiber Glass Research in Ashtabula.

The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is a design engineer for NEXANS Autoelectric of America in Poland.

The bride wore an A-line, long-sleeved gown embellished with crystals, pearls, sequins and lace.

Heather Folkwein was her honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Victoria Boulos; Michelina Vitello, a sister of the groom; and Laurie Warino. A niece of the groom, Abigail Vitello, was the flower girl. The attendants wore navy-blue dresses.

Bobby Vitello, a brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Sacco, brother of the bride; and Alessandro Vitello and Antonio Vitello, brothers of the groom. Ring bearers were the groom’s nephews, Alex and Luca Vitello.
