Kirsti Manna, the Nashville-based songwriter from the Mahoning Valley, will give one of her Songwriter Girl workshops Dec. 28 at Firestone Farms, 125 St. Andrews Drive.

Participants will learn about the music business, songwriting and performing, and will get the opportunity to co-write a song. Manna’s seminar also will discuss the truth behind networking, co-writing, copyrights and dealing with rejection.

Guests will also learn how writers and music publishers make money with songs.

After taking the session, attendees will be more creatively enhanced and encouraged, with greater confidence as a writer and performer, and more focused on how to write better songs.

The three-hour session begins at 2 p.m. The price is $75, and space is limited. For information, call 615-323-2915. To register, go to shop.songwritergirl.com.

Manna, a native of Poland, has written songs that have been recorded by many country stars. Her song “Austin” introduced Blake Shelton to country radio. She also penned the Big & Rich song “Loud.”
