YOUNGSTOWN — Police have a person of interest in a robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Metro PCS on Mahoning Avenue.

An employee who was mopping the floor at the 2936 Mahoning Ave. business told police a man wearing a black hoodie and white Halloween hockey mask entered at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday, pointed a gun at her face and said, “Get the money.”

The man stuffed money into a Family Dollar bag and ordered the employee to the floor before leaving, a report said.

Witnesses told police they saw a man matching that description walk up the driveway of a red-tagged West Side home on Rhoda Avenue. Police found the door kicked in with wet footprints going up the steps and property belonging to the person of interest, the report said.

Another witness who knows the person of interest who lives at the Rhoda Avenue address said he asked the man in the mask what was wrong and was told to “mind his own [expletive] business.”
