Bogos to headline show at comedy club

WARREN

Kirk Bogos will headline a Saturday show at Warren Comedy Club, located inside Cafe 422, 4422 Youngstown-Warren Road. Bogos was a finalist in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and appeared in the blockbuster movie “The Avengers.”

Also on the bill is Dr. Jerry Jaffe and local comedian Jon Huff. Guitarist Bobby Fritz will perform from 7 to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and are available in advance at warrencomedyclub.com.

Christmas program to benefit mission

POLAND

A Christmas program titled “O Come, all Ye Faithful” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Poland Presbyterian Church, 2 Poland Manor.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley’s fundraising drive to relocate.

Cookies and refreshments will be served after the concert, which will be directed by Steve Pridon. For information, call the church at 330-757-1547.

Performers include the church’s chancel and children’s choirs, the Village Ringers and the Sheet and Tube Brass Quartet.

Also featured will be Kathryn Dick (oboe), Elizabeth Shewell (flute), Sara Schaft (violin), Anne Hutchison (organist), John Martin (percussion), Geoff Wands (clarinet) and soloist Cindy Houston.

Drum trio will lead rhythmic celebration

WARREN

Spiral Rhythms Ensemble, a drumming trio whose members are from the Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas, will present an evening of ecstatic drumming, dancing and celebration at 7 p.m. Sunday at BodyBLISS Connection, 1891 Niles-Cortland Road.

A $20 donation is suggested, and all proceeds will benefit the Warren Family Mission. Guests also can choose to bring a bag of non-perishable goods instead.

Spiral Rhythms Ensemble consists of Rex Bacon, Ed Boas and Harry Pepper of Sun King Warriors.
