Businesses launch benefit for hospital

Several local businesses are participating in holiday giving campaigns to benefit patients at Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman.

Local fundraisers include:

Books-A-Million at Eastwood Mall, accepting new books for the Reach out and Read locations in Trumbull County through Saturday.

Ghossain’s Bakery in Niles and Boardman, new toys and books for children at the hospital.

Kraynak’s in Hermitage, Pa., new toys and books for patients at the hospital.

Starbucks in Boardman, Austintown and Hermitage, new toys and books.

Ace Hardware at local participating locations are asking customers to round up their change at the registers, with all donations going to Akron Children’s Hospital Boardman.
