Woman eludes Austintown cops, drug paraphernalia found in her car
AUSTINTOWN — A woman evaded police on foot after a car chase came to a halt in a yard on Black Oak Lane late Monday.
Police believe the woman who was driving the vehicle fled on foot without her shoes on, the report said.
Police tried to pull the woman over on Monaca Avenue, but as an officer approached, she drove away, the report said.
She turned onto Myrwood Avenue and then Chaucer Lane, and drove off the road through yards on Black Oak Lane, the report said.
Police said the woman was wearing dark pants and a dark coat. Police created a perimeter in the area of where the woman fled, but could not find her, the report said.
Police searched the car and found three syringes, a pipe with crack cocaine residue, plastic bags with residue, the report said.
