Two Youngstown men get probation for fight over woman
YOUNGSTOWN — A father and son received three years’ probation today on charges of aggravated assault related to a fight earlier this year.
Jorge Collazo, 43, and his son Christian Otero, 25, both of Youngstown, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Collazo also pleaded guilty to a count of menacing by stalking in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
Both men faced two counts of felonious assault and one count of menacing by stalking.
The fight involved a man who worked with Collazo’s wife in a food truck and claimed to have made sexual advances toward her, a defense attorney said.
Collazo had a previous misdemeanor assault charge in Campbell Municipal Court for allegedly hitting a woman in a car, according to Vindicator files.
