Testimony: 2016 murder victim was bound by cords
YOUNGSTOWN — A city police Crime Lab officer testified today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court that a man found dead last August in his Palmer Avenue home had his hands and feet bound with electrical cords.
Officer Greg Miller also testified in the trial of 28-year-old Wallace Lewis of Steel Street that he found a knife in the kitchen sink of the victim's home.
Lewis is charged with the Aug. 10, 2016, stabbing death of Howard Ramey, 53, who police say was stabbed to death Aug. 10, 2016, in his home.
His body was found two days later in his basement.
Testimony in the case before Judge Maureen Sweeney began Monday.
Police never released the fact that Ramey was bound when he was found.
Lewis is charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
