Last-minute shopping at Youngstown Flea

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Flea will have “A Pop-up For Procrastinators” launching Dec. 22.

The shopping event will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 223 Wick Ave.

This “mini” market is aimed at bringing together a well-curated selection of 30-plus unique vendors for a downtown shopping experience.

Real-estate courses

YOUNGSTOWN

Individuals who wish to obtain licensure as an Ohio real estate salesman or saleswoman will have the opportunity to begin coursework Jan. 8 in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.

Successful completion of four courses: Real Estate Law, Real Estate Principles & Practices, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Appraisal is required to sit for the Ohio licensure examination.

All classes are offered from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Williamson Hall, 221 N. Hazel St. Early registration will ensure a place in the course(s) of choice. An annual schedule of Real Estate classes and online registration along with additional information are available at ysu.edu/wcba.

New Dental Works location in Niles

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremony for Dental Works at its new location, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Unit 908, has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Dental Works said a team will offer tours and refreshments during an open house from 2 to 7 p.m.

Dental Works offers full-service dentistry, focusing on general dentistry, hygiene, oral surgery and orthodontics.

Valley history exhibit

The forces that shaped the region we know as Ohio’s Mahoning Valley and the Shenango Valley in Pennsylvania are celebrated in a new, permanent exhibit at Eastwood Mall in Niles. “This Place We Call Home – The History of Our Region” will be formally unveiled at a ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday.

This new pictorial timeline of the region’s development stretches for more than 100 feet in the entrance corridor between Dillard’s and the sponsor of the exhibit, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.

New brewery to open

WARREN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Clubhouse Brewing Co., 668 North River Road, at 10 a.m. Friday.

The Clubhouse Brewing Co. is a veteran- and family-owned-and-operated business. The Dean family has been brewing together for more than 10 years.

The focus of Clubhouse Brewing Co., owned by Zach Dean and his mother, Debbie Dean, and with his father, Craig Dean as head brewer, is not only to brew delicious beer but to help the veteran community at large.
