Chamber events will promote idea exchange

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host its first Columbus Drive-In event in February and first Washington, D.C., Fly-In in June to promote an exchange of ideas between state/federal officials and the Mahoning Valley’s leaders to ensure that the region’s voice is impactful in the state and U.S. capitals.

The Columbus Drive-In will feature a day’s worth of activities at the world-class Ohio Theatre. The cost to register is $500 per person. Register at www.regionalchamber.com/events.

Columbiana chamber to host awards banquet

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 65th Annual Awards Banquet on Feb. 24 at the Links Banquet Center at Firestone Farms. Guests will hear from special guest speaker, Michael Ross. Ross has one mission: to help people live fulfilled and impactful lives.

Nominations are open for individuals, groups and businesses who have made a positive difference in the Columbiana community, have exemplified excellence in their field or have contributed to the betterment of the Columbiana area.

Nominations of those deserving such recognition for their achievement and contributions are needed.

Macy’s plans to hire 7,000 more for season

Macy’s Inc. announced plans to hire an additional 7,000 seasonal associates for positions at its Macy’s stores nationwide for the 2017 Christmas and holiday season.

Pa. gaming board reports slot revenue

HARRISBURG, PA.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board recently reported for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at casinos during November.

The combined November gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos was $181,329,655, an increase of almost $2 million in revenue, or 1.1 percent, when compared with the $179,399,604 generated in November 2016.
