Asthma at holidays

YOUNGSTOWN

Between going to school all day and staying inside on cold, dark nights, children spend much of the winter indoors in close quarters with pets, bugs, germs and other asthma triggers. The arrival of the holiday season often adds mold, dust and smoke to the mix.

With all of this in mind, representatives of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley will offer tips to reduce children’s chances of an asthma attack during the holidays in a program to be conducted Wednesday beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Taft Elementary School, 730 E. Avondale Ave., on the city’s South Side.
