Lecture on history of Santa Claus
YOUNGSTOWN
George Johnson, a collector of Christmas memorabilia, will give a lecture on the History of Santa Claus at noon Saturday in the Carriage House, directly behind the Arms Family Museum, 648 Wick Ave.
Admission is free with a paid admission to the museum, where the “Memories of Christmas Past” exhibition is on display.
Johnson has been collecting antique Christmas decorations for more than 30 years and is a member of the Golden Glow of Christmas Past, a club for enthusiasts of Christmas memorabilia. He is an elementary and middle school teacher who specializes in working with talented and gifted students in Southern Local Schools near Logan, Ohio.
Admission to the museum is $7 ($6 for seniors, $5 for children age 3-18). Saturday hours are noon to 4 p.m. For information, go to mahoninghistory.org.
Gentri in concert at Packard hall

Gentri: The Gentlemen Trio will give a Christmas concert including Broadway and pop tunes, delivered with the act’s cinematic sound, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW.
Gentri includes tenors Brad Robins, Casey Elliott and Bradley Quinn Lever. Their original sound combines dynamic three-part harmonies with rich, full symphony orchestrations.
