Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet for its annual holiday social and meeting at 11 a.m. Dec. 13 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman. Lunch begins at 11:45, followed by a program featuring the Boardman High School Jazz Band and the installation of officers. Maj. Paul Moore, commander of the Salvation Army, will be the speaker. The community service project is monetary donations and “Teacher Santa” items of unwrapped toys, arts and crafts and books for the Salvation Army. All area educators are invited. Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio will meet for their annual Christmas dinner party at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive.
