OhioMeansJobs offers workshops

Informational workshops for Job Corps are offered at OhioMeansJobs Mahoning County on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Pre-registration is required for attendance. Job Corps provides free education and career training for those who qualify. Career training is offered in a number of fields, including automotive, construction, health care, security and hospitality.

Chamber schedules Trumbull Co. event

WARREN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Good Morning, Trumbull County,” event from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Dec. 8 at Kent State University, 4314 Mahoning Ave.

Updates will be provided by Trumbull County Commissioner Frank Fuda, Col. Daniel Sarachene from the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Kent State University Trumbull Dean Lance Grahn, Trumbull Regional Medical Center President Rob Bierman and a chamber economic development update from Senior Vice President of Economic Development Sarah Boyarko.

Chamber, Niles seek input via survey

In a follow-up to a public input meeting the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and the city of Niles that took place in early November to garner feedback from residents and businesses there, the two entities are seeking additional insight via an online survey.

All answers/comments will remain confidential and be reported only in an aggregate format. All participants who provide contact info at the conclusion of the survey will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to Stoneyard Grill & Tavern.

Workshop to teach QuickBooks software

Kirtland

The Ohio Small Business Development Center at Lakeland Community College, 7700 Clocktower Drive, A-2114, will have a QuickBooks Workshop for the Small Business Owner from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The free event will help teach business owners how to save hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars in professional fees. QuickBooks is a popular and powerful accounting software that fulfills the bookkeeping needs of small businesses. For information, call Angela Clements Cattell at 440-525-7706.
