Family’s car hit in apparent road rage

YOUNGSTOWN

A family of four driving on state Route 711 Wednesday night was rear-ended and pushed off the road in an apparent road-rage incident, according to a report.

Joseph Keney, 49, of Niles tailgated the family before striking their car and pushing them off the road, the report said. Another car received damage in the incident.

Keney apologized to that driver, but told him the driver of the first car shouldn’t have brake-checked him and he deserved to be pushed off the road, the report said. Keney is being held in Mahoning County jail on four counts of felonious assault.
