C.H. Campbell Elementary School students were given the opportunity to get creative this Halloween for the school’s PTO annual pumpkin decorating contest.
Letting their imaginations run wild, the students went all out decorating their pumpkins at home and then brought them to school to be displayed.
The pumpkins could not be carved so the students used paint, glitter, ribbons, bows, puff balls and several other art elements and props.
Among the variety of pumpkins on display were witches, cats and dogs, ice cream sundaes, unicorns, superheroes, Star Wars, M&M’s, bubble gum machines, doughnuts, vampires and Canfield Cardinals, Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Pittsburgh Steelers themed pumpkins.
Every pumpkin entry received an award, such as Most Colorful, Best Pumpkin in the Galaxy, Most Adorable, Cutest Strawberry, Best Family Size Popcorn, Most Delicious, Most Mystical, Most Team Spirit, Funniest Pumpkin Face, Coolest Black Cat and Most Beautiful Unicorn, Most Fabulous Unicorn and Sparkliest Unicorn.
The pumpkins were on display at the school the week before Halloween. At the end of the week, the students could take their pumpkins home to add to their Halloween decorations.
