Akron Children’s seeks change bandits

boardman

Recruitment is now underway for Miracle Maker change bandits to assist with pre-event fundraising activities for the ninth annual Miracles and Promises Radiothon to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley. The radiothon will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 28-29, and will be broadcast live on Mix 98.9 and 570 WKBN from the hospital’s Beeghly campus in Boardman.

The change bandit program is a fun and easy way for everyone – from individuals, families, businesses, schools, and civic and community organizations – to help to raise funds prior to the radiothon. Change bandits can create their own fundraising activities in addition to collecting donations of spare change from co-workers, friends and family. All donations and change bandits are recognized during the radiothon.

The radiothon is the hospital’s largest fundraising event of the year. One hundred percent of the funds raised during the Change Bandit Campaign and the Miracles and Promises Radiothon are used in the Mahoning Valley to benefit local children and families.

During the past eight years, the radiothon has raised more than $1.5 million. Register to become a change bandit at www.miraclesandpromises.org or by contacting JoAnn Stock at 330-746-9122 or jstock@chmca.org.
