Man won't come out of the car for cops

YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said a man wanted for questioning Tuesday by police locked himself in his car and officers needed to use a kit from a tow truck company to get him out.

Police were called about 4:35 p.m. to the 2000 block of Ohio Avenue, where a man there said Anthony Jackson, 27, of Ohio Avenue, accused him of ratting him out to police and punched him in the mouth. The man had a bloody lip, reports said.

When officers arrived and tried to talk to Jackson, he got in his car, locked all the doors and refused to come out after police first asked, then ordered him out. A tow truck was called and officers used the “lockout kit” with the truck, used to help motorists to get into locked out cars, get Jackson out of the car.

When the door was opened Jackson still refused to get out. Officers had to drag him and he struggled with them until he was handcuffed. He was booked into the Mahoning County jail on charges of assault, resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
