Man shot in car in Youngstown has died

YOUNGSTOWN

A man found shot in a car early today in a car on Chicago Avenue has died.

Chief of Detectives Capt. Brad Blackburn said the man, in his mid 20s, was found in the car about 12:40 a.m. by officers investigating a gunshot sensor call. He died about 7:30 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Blackburn said police will release the man's identity when his relatives are notified.

Police are investigating his death as a homicide.

This would be the city's 13th homicide for this year.
