New Castle YMCA to celebrate 150 years

In celebration of 150 years of service to the community, the New Castle YMCA will host a special event Sept. 30 at The New Englander.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by dinner. There will be live music, and an exhibit will feature photographs and memorabilia from the YMCA’s history. There will also be silent and live auctions.

Tickets are $75 and may be purchased at the Downtown YMCA. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign, which provides programs and memberships to more than 1,000 youths, adults and families every year. No one is ever turned away because of inability to pay for a membership.
