The tick (amazon): Peter Serafinowicz stars in this streaming series about an accountant who realizes his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he meets a strange blue superhero.

Third annual Yo-Ice

Youngstown Indy Creators Expo will take place Sept. 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church Hall, 201 Wick Ave. in Youngstown.

The expo (or Yo-ICE) is a place for local comic-book artists, writers, photographers, craft makers, musicians, filmmakers and fine artists to showcase their works.

The event is free and open to the public but donations are accepted at the door.

‘Super School Live’ special to air Sept. 8

LOS ANGELES

Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, Common and Jennifer Hudson are among the celebrities participating in an hour-long live television special about reinventing American high schools.

The stars will be joined by more than two dozen celebrities slated to appear on the “EIF Presents: XQ Super School Live “ special that will air on all four major broadcast networks simultaneously Sept. 8 at 8 p.m.

It’s slated to include live music, comedy sketches and documentary segments.
