Warren police ID two people found dead from shootings

WARREN — Police have identified the woman found dead in a parking lot off of Duke Street Southwest Saturday night as Heaven L. Townsend, 21, of Hillman Way in Youngstown.

Police said they were called to the area at 10:51 p.m. for 20 to 30 gunshots in the area. They found Townsend there on the ground.

Police have also identified the man they found dead in a field in the 2400 block of Northwest Boulevard Northwest Sunday as Willliam L. Williams, 19, of Freeman Street Northwest.

Police said they responded to that area at 5:25 p.m. for shots fired and found Williams against a fence in the field. He had been shot in the face.

Police are investigating both as homicides.
